#SiegeofLadysmith2020 – Shutdown in Ladysmith gets worse

The shutdown / protest action in Ladysmith is intensifying, with angry protesters blocking more and more roads.

Protesters are currently burning tyres in Protea Drive and Centenary Road. Last night (February 26), vehicles were stoned when motorists tried to make their way through the road closure.

It is advised that people stay in their homes for safety reasons, as the situation is extremely volatile.

Protesters have been seen threatening and chasing people in affected areas.

Public Safety and police are currently monitoring the situation.
