Parents urged to support anti-CSE campaign

Organisers of anti-CSE protests are asking residents to continue the fight on February 29.

Parents and concerned residents are encouraged to show their support against the new CSE syllabus this Saturday.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) made headlines recently for having a detailed lesson plan, which many have labelled ‘graphic’. CSE has been introduced in some schools from as early as Grade Four.

On February 13, Dundee played host to a peaceful walk to drum up support against the syllabus, and now organisers are asking residents to continue the fight on February 29.

To coincide with other national awareness campaigns, residents are urged to conduct their own awareness campaigns. They are urged to wear white clothing, find a safe and visible area to host the campaign, and gather with a group to raise awareness – they can do this by displaying posters and banners, and handing out pamphlets to passersby.

Residents who want to know more about the syllabus can text the word ‘Endumeni’ to 066 522 3666, to be added to the #leaveourkidsalone WhatsApp group, where they will be updated on the latest news regarding CSE.
