President of South Africa speaks at Joseph Shabalala’s funeral
Thousands of people have gathered to say their last farewells to this music icon
President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a speech at Dr Joseph Shabalala’s state funeral this morning (February 22) in Ladysmith.
In his speech, he reminisced about Dr Shabalala and shared many memories.
The funeral ceremony is currently underway at the Indoor Sports Complex.

After the ceremony, the motorcade will leave to Steadville, where Dr Joseph Shabalala will be buried.
