A dominant sporting display by DHS

The school looks forward to seeing what this year's league has in store for its golfers.

The following Dundee High School teams recently won medals at the Vryheid relay competition: under-16 girls won bronze for third overall, u-17 girls won bronze for third overall, u-19 boys won silver for second overall, u-15 girls won gold for first overall in the age group. The school was also fourth overall, missing out on third by three points.

Midmar Mile: Well done to the following learners who completed the Midmar Mile: Jordan van Rauenstein, Michael van der Merwe, Dremar Jacobs and Mrs Venter.

Endumeni athletics: DHS is proud to announce that more than 30 of its learners made the Endumeni team and took part in the Umzinyathi Championships, which took place over the weekend. Results to follow in next week’s edition.

Wrestling: On February 7, Dawie Botha took part in a wrestling competition at Frank Joubert Wrestling Club. In the boys u-15 division, he won a silver medal for Greco-Roman (58 kilograms). He also won gold for Freestyle in the 58kg weight class.

Golf: The DHS golfers had their first golf competition on Friday (February 14). The handicap division played an IPS on the front nine – Andrew Nero won second prize and Lermard Fraser was the overall winner. The young golfers, who don’t have a handicap, played a medal competition. Thayne Thiley won second prize and Kameshan Govender won the day with an unbelievable score. Well done to these young golfers.

DHS would also like to welcome a new member to team – Unathi Mathebula. The school looks forward to seeing what this year’s league has in store for these golfers.
