Estcourt High School held their annual Speech & Awards Ceremony on January 24.
Guest speaker Mr R Smith addressed the parents and learners on the emerging fourth industrial revolution.

He emphasised the importance of learners keeping up with the rapid rate of change in the ever-growing technological environment.
Together with the principal, staff and governing body, Mr Smith went on to congratulate and applaud the 2019 awardees.
Estcourt High School achieved a whopping 92.6% matric pass rate for 2019.
The following matriculants received subject awards for highest marks in their respective subjects:
> William Henry Nott Memorial Prize For ‘Dux Student of the School’, and Eskort Bacon Factory Trophy and Prize – Siphokuhle Khondlo Mtshali.
> Dr Bertram Prize for English Main Language – Yendiswa Sithole.
> Gret Rudolph Prys vir Afriakaans Tweede Taal – Jordan van Tonder.
> Prize for Isizulu Second Language – Senamile Gwala and Amahle Mabaso.
> Bertram Braithwaite Prize for Mathematical Literacy – Thobelani Cele.
> AF Brokenshaw Prize for Life Science – Bongukwanda Zondi.
> CW Sealy Fisher Prize for Physical Science – Ntokozo Msibi.
> AF Brokenshaaw Prize for Accounting – Sindiswa Ngobese.
> Jannie de Waal Prize for Geography – Samkelo N Mngomezulu.
> WJ Felgate Prize for Consumer Studies – Kyra O’ Brien.
> AC Martin Prize for History – Eyethu Mhlanga.
> Prize for Engineering and Graphic Design – Ziphozonke Ndlovu.
> GV Bulman Memorial Prize for Business Studies – Snethemba Mpembe.
> Women’s Institute Cup for Practical Consumer Studies – Kyra O’ Brien.
> Hantie Smith Memorial Prize for Progress in Consumer Studies – Patience Mashava.
> AH Baroochi Prize for Life Orientation – Samkelo N Mngomezulu.
> FNB Trophy for Computer Applications Technology – Ndumiso Nzimande.
