ICU patient airlifted to Durban from hospital in Ladysmith
A helicopter landed on the Ladysmith High School sports field
An ICU patient was airlifted from La Verna Lenmed Private Hospital yesterday (February 12).
The patient is a woman suffering from a heart condition; she had to be rushed to a hospital in Durban.
A helicopter landed on the Ladysmith High School (LHS) sports field and waited for the patient to arrive.

The woman was transported from La Verna to the school by private ambulance, before being put into the helicopter to be taken to Durban.
Schoolchildren who had just finished their day at school gathered outside the LHS grounds to get a good look at what was going on.
