Action cricket:Â The Sarel Cilliers action cricket team took on the Chaos Club last Friday night. Jarren Theron and Bonga Dlamini were the best batsmen of the evening, with Thabo Japha and Nikeel Dookhi performing excellently in the bowling department. Sarel Cilliers scored 137 runs, but unfortunately the Chaos Club took the game with 228 runs.
SANBS peer promoters tell their story:
“On Friday (February 7), we went to Pines, Newcastle, as we were nominated as ‘Peer Promoters’ for Sarel Cilliers High School for 2020. Our role as peer promoters is to educate our peers on the importance of donating blood and to help recruit more healthy donors, to keep up with the demand for a safe blood supply. It gives us great pleasure to be part of this committee. Many people question the reason for blood donation but it’s not just blood; it’s a life waiting to be lived. Just one person’s donation can save three people’s lives!”
