Tauricus Combined School near Mooi River was the first stop.

Principal Nkosinathi Majola was most appreciative of the 450 stationery packs handed out to the learners.

Then learners at Project Life in Estcourt, which is a school for children with physical and learning disabilities, were excited to welcome back Gift of the Givers Estcourt representative Jaaved Khan.

103 stationery packs were handed out to the children. Project Life founder Desiree Moonsamy expressed sincere appreciation and this could be seen on the children’s faces as well.

The last stop was at Singayo- Imfundo Primary School in Loskop.

Peering curiously through the broken windows of the classroom, the learners knew they were in for a treat.

Principal Thandiwe Ntsuntsha quickly gathered the children in the school yard and explained the purpose of the visit to them.

All 250 learners at the school each received an age-appropriate stationery pack, with calculators for the older
learners and crayons for the younger ones.

“All the principals, teachers and learners were very appreciative of the distributions and we received many thanks. Some teachers said that we were actually Godsent, as they needed two-quire books for the Grade 7s and the majority of the parents could not afford it,” commented Mr Khan.
