A major water leak has sprung up outside the Thys Jacobsz Senior Centre at the corner of Mason and Francis Road.
Speaking to a resident from the centre, he says the leak has been there for over four months already and no work has been done by uThukela District Municipality to fix it.
Water can be seen flowing out of the ground like a river, before going into a storm-water drain.

The area has now become a haven for bird life, as there is a plentiful supply of water for them to drink.
The resident adds that people need to be careful, as the ground is now water-logged. Many senior citizens walk in the area for exercise.
He hopes uThukela will come out and address the problem soon, as it has been reported numerous times.
