A couple are being treated for injuries sustained during an altercation at the police barracks, yesterday afternoon on McKenzie Street.
The man, who is believed to be a police officer, allegedly shot a woman thought to be his girlfriend at 1pm yesterday. He also suffered injuries inflicted with a knife during the altercation.
Captain Nqobile Gwala from SAPS’ KZN office said no case had been opened, ‘as both people involved in the incident are in hospital getting medical attention’.
