No power for some parts of Ladysmith this morning

Residents of Daffodil Crescent and Dianthus Road have been without power since Monday evening

Parts of Ladysmith are without electricity this morning (February 5).

Most of Acaciavale had their power restored last night, but it is believed that a sub-station in Dianthus Road caught alight last night, leaving residents in Dianthus Road and Daffodil Crescent in the dark.

Parts of Hospital Park and the CBD are currently also experiencing power outages.

The problem areas, such as Acaciavale and the CBD, have been reported and residents hope the matter will be attended to as soon as possible.

Residents of Daffodil Crescent and Dianthus Road are pleading with the municipality to attend to the problem, as they have now been without power since Monday evening (February 3). They are concerned about the food in their fridges going bad.
