Bikers form friendships spanning the continent

A large gathering of bikers took place at the Glencoe Junction, representing the KZN Motorcycle Federation.

Motorcycling is more popular than ever, with many using their machines as vehicles to make new friends, explore the country and participate in good causes.

A large gathering of bikers took place at the Glencoe Junction – home of The Family Crew Bike Club – last Saturday to represent the KZN Motorcycle Federation.

Mac Osman of Dundee announced he and 17 other riders were forming a new Dundee-based club, Just Cruisin’, to ensure the upholding of the values of the biking fraternity. He hoped to soon register the club as an affiliate of the federation.

The following day, hundreds of bikers descended on Greytown for the Ubuntu Rally, which attracted riders from Richards Bay, Durban, the Free State, Port Shepstone, Ixopo, Angola, Mozambique, Uganda, Kenya, Gauteng and many other North African countries.

The rally was organised by Greytown Tourism in a bid to create friendships across the continent.

Mac commented it was a wonderful day out in the country, meeting and greeting bikers from the continent who are all united in their love of the ‘steel horse’.
