No taxis operating in Ladysmith, with march against the mayor set to take place today

Many people found themselves without transport this morning

A march is set to take place this morning (February 3) in town.

The aim of the march is to call for the immediate removal of Mayor Vincent Madlala.

Last night, it is believed that protesters shut down the Pieters Water Treatment Plant.

Water supply has been affected in some areas, such as Acaciavale and Roosboom.

Many people found themselves without transport this morning, as no taxis or buses are operational in the Ladysmith area.
