PUBLIC NOTICE: Load-shedding expected from 9pm tonight
Eskom will implement Stage 2 load-shedding nationally from 9pm tonight.
Newcastle residents can expect load-shedding tonight, according to a message received from Councillor, Bebsie Cronje this afternoon.
The message read: “We have been advised by the electrical department that there will be stage 2 load-shedding from 9pm tonight until 6am tomorrow morning.”
Mlungisi Khumalo, Head of Communications for the Newcastle Municipality, confirmed that load-shedding would take place, as per national instruction from Eskom.
Residents are urged to charge their cell phones and other communication devices ahead of the load-shedding.
