Newcastle SAPS member, Sergeant Lionel David Harry was consecrated as a bishop by Archbishop Julius at Tramonto Boutique Hotel on January 19.

Sgt Harry holds a Doctorate in Theological Studies as inferred by the Team Bible College (USA), a Honours BA in Theology (North West University) final year, a Bachelor status from the North West University and has qualified with a Diploma in Theology from Rhema Bible College.

The designated Specialist Wellness Counsellor completed his B.Tech Degree in Policing and also holds a Diploma in Policing, both from the University of South Africa (UNISA), and is currently studying towards his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice (Police Science and Forensic Technology).

Sgt Harry is currently attached to the Social Crime Prevention Unit. His colleagues attended the ordination in support of his fine achievement.
