DHS learners impress on and off the sports field

Learners and teachers alike were intrigued by the talents of many learners, old and new.

DHS is proud to announce the top academic achievers for Term Four, 2019: Zandisiwe Maphalala (Grade 8) with an average of 89,2 per cent, Yusrah Kader (Grade 9) with an average of 94,2 per cent, Eric Lauwrens (Grade 10) with an average of 91,1 per cent, and Stefan Thom (Grade 11) with an average of 87,6 per cent.

The following learners achieved colour awards for outstanding performance in academics during 2019:

Grade 8: Half colours went to Zandisiwe Maphalala (88,3%), Nozibusiso Ntshangase (87,2%), Muhammad Bobat (86,8%) and Aphiwe Molefe (85,4%).
Grade 9: Honours went to Yusrah Khader (94%) and Lethu Gule (90,1%).
Grade 10: Honours went to Eric Lauwrens (91,5%), Chirag Singh (88,6%) and Amahle Nkosi (85%).
Grade 11: Honours went to Stephan Thom (88,4%).

Athletics at DHS: On January 23, DHS held its inter-house athletics meeting. Excitement filled the air as the program started just after 8am. The cool air helped the hopeful athletes perform at their best. Learners and teachers alike were intrigued by the talents of many learners, old and new.

The day ended just after 2pm and the school thanks all the learners for their enthusiastic participation, as well as the seniors and prefects who cleaned the field and pavilion after a long day in the sun.
