A bust pipe at the bottom of Ruby Gailey Drive created a massive fountain of water shooting at least four metres high.

Motorists on their way to work this morning (January 27) were treated to a shower as water sprayed into the road.

The area of the leak is a spot that has been regularly fixed piecemeal by uThukela District Municipality on-and-off for years.

Expect water supply downtime later today as staff fix the leak.
