R33 closed due to protest action

Residents from the Dumbe location in Paulpietersburg were granted permission to embark on protest action, between 7am and 2pm today.

Earlier, traffic was diverted from Hlungwana Station, between Commondale and Paulpietersburg from the Piet Retief direction, but now all roads leading to Piet Retief are blocked.

AfriForum Vryheid informed the Herald that Paulpietersburg was a ‘no go area’ and would likely remain so until late this afternoon.
