A collision between a car and a truck has left one man dead.
The collision occurred on Marconi Drive near a filling station at around 10.30pm last night. A portion of the road was closed to traffic for approximately two hours as a result.
Authorities were on scene to conduct preliminary investigations, and the cause of the collision is not known at this stage. The identity of the deceased has been withheld out of respect for the bereaved family.
The Newcastle Advertiser extends its condolences to the family of the deceased.
