Sharné to represent Newcastle at Miss Teenager Universe RSA 2020

"It is kind of a big deal and I am honoured to be mentored by the gorgeous Mbali Dlamini," beamed Sharné.

From one pageant to another, Sharné Dheochand is taking the modelling industry by storm.

This local beauty has become synonymous with pageants and also a familiar face in the community through her passion for charity work. Sharné recently represented Newcastle at the Zee TV Miss India SA finals in Durban and returned with the title of ‘Radiant Skin’.

After being crowned Miss Bedazzle Newcastle 2019, she automatically qualified as a finalist to compete in Miss Teenager Universe RSA 2020, which will take place on April 4.

Professional model, Mbali Dlamini, a Miss South Africa 2019 contestant, made an announcement on her Facebook page on January 13 that she would be mentoring Sharné for the upcoming pageant.

“I am excited to announce I will be mentoring and training Sharné in preparation for the competition.”

Dlamini said should Sharné win, she would get to represent South Africa on an international stage at the respective world finals in Mexico, winning a fully paid trip to compete.

“Let the work begin. We did say that 2020 is going to be a choc year,” posted Dlamini.

“It is kind of a big deal and I am honoured to be mentored by the gorgeous Mbali Dlamini,” beamed Sharné.

The Newcastle Advertiser wishes Sharné all the best as she takes on this new endeavour! Good luck, Sharné, make us proud!
