Learners and parents gather at St Dominics for the first day of Grade One.

Learners were welcomed back to school on January 14, after a deserved holiday. For a group of young Newcastillians however, the time had come to start a new chapter in a journey of education and schooling.

Eager learners, full of curiosity, flooded into classrooms as the first day of Grade One began. Proud parents carrying backpacks and stationery were welcomed by teachers and learners were ready to start the daily activities and meet new friends.
