Six dead in horror crash on Dundee/Vryheid road
Another nine people have been seriously injured and are being attended to by paramedics.
Six people are confirmed to have been killed in a horror smash this afternoon on the R34 between between Blood River and Vryheid. The accident involved a minibus taxi and another vehicle.
The deceased were travelling in the minibus taxi, which reportedly caught alight following the collision.” Nine other occupants are seriously injured and are currently being treated by paramedics, “confirmed Robert McKenzie EMRS spokesman in KZN.
SAPS are currently on the scene.
The Vryheid/Dundee road has since been closed to traffic and officials have urged motorists to use alternative routes.
