Happy endings for ARK Support Group members

Although 2019 had some lows, there were many unexpected highs as well

Reflection on the year was the main focus at the final meeting of the ARK (Act of Random Kindness) Support Group members.

The meeting was held at the AFM Church on December 21 and incorporated a delicious dinner that was shared by the members that were present.

One of the group’s founders Shailen Sunderpersad recapped some of the topics that were discussed at the monthly meeting throughout the year and these included, among others, alternative medication, pain management, cancer as well as at home treatments.

Dealing with negative feelings when suffering a debilitating illness

When reminiscing about the past year, Mr Sunderpersad said it was one of highs and lows and he found himself unwell for seven weeks, which not only impacted on his ability to attend meetings but also his personal wellness.
Other members said 2019 was a good year, with most saying they received a clean bill of health.

The next support group meeting will be held on January 25 at 2pm at the AFM Church in Brickhill Road. Everyone is welcome.
