SAPS investigate alleged rape by ‘police officers’

Ladysmith SAPS are currently investigating a woman’s claims that she was raped by police officers.

Captain BE Nyathi (Communication Liaison & Marketing) has confirmed that a case was opened at Ladysmith police station by a female who claimed she had been raped by men dressed in police uniform.

He added that, according to the woman, the incident took place in the Acaciavale area.

The case is currently under investigation and no one has been arrested as yet.
