One dead, two injured in Osizweni collision
"Two other patients sustained serious injuries and were treated on scene and transported to hospital."
Two vehicles collided head-on in the Osizweni area at around 5am this morning.
Paramedics from Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded. After an initial assessment, paramedics found one person involved in the collision had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
“Two other patients sustained serious injuries and were treated on scene and transported to hospital,” said Craig Botha, spokesperson for Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service.
The cause of the collision is not known at this stage and remains subject to official investigations.
The Newcastle Advertiser extends its condolences to the family of the deceased.
