SAPS says motor vehicle theft is on the rise

These incidents are evidence that vehicle related theft is on a surge in Dundee.

Two cases of motor vehicle theft were reported to Dundee SAPS over the weekend.

According to the police, the complainant said he parked the car at his home on Williams Street on Thursday night. When he awoke the next day, he realised the car had been stolen.

The vehicle registration plate is NR 18646.

In a separate incident on Old Acre Street, a complainant parked her car outside a store and went inside. Upon returning, she found the car missing. The complainant stated there were groceries inside the boot.

At the time of publication, no arrests had been made in either case.
