No idle hands as youth show off budding talents and skills

Izimpande Co-operative Project, which was formed in 2002 by Tholakele Ngema, hosted an event last Saturday at King Zwelithini Hall in eBhekuzulu.

Mama Tholakele teaches young people to do different activities with their hands, from beadwork, knitting, cooking and baking to cultural dancing.

She boasts 18 groups of young people who are occupied with various activities.

At Saturday’s event, youth showcased the work of their hands and what they were truly capable of, showcasing drawings, paintings and fashion design to perhaps even launch their own brands.

Others took to the stage to perform cultural dances, rap and act.

Ward 10 councillor, Dudu Mazibuko was present at the event to show her support for the youths and applauded enthusiastically at the work they presented.
