ML Sultan celebrates academic excellence

The highlight of the school’s calendar unfolded recently

On November 27, ML Sultan Primary hosted their annual speech & awards function, which marked the highlight of the academic year.

Learners were given an opportunity to show off their hard work and dedication throughout the year. School principal Mr DH Zuma delivered his Principal’s Report on the successful year that has passed.

The function was blessed with the presence of Miss Namutula Mukelabai, a former student of the school, who addressed her audience by proudly informing them that she is now a third-year Physiotherapy student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Her message was loud and clear that: “Education is the foundation upon which we can build our future.”

Puwani Nqobile was awarded ‘Sports Boy of the Year’, while Andiswa Nguni was ‘Sports Girl of the Year’ and Creative Arts subject award winner.

Luyanda Xaba took the subject award for Maths; Abenathi Mazibuko was presented with the ‘Good Fellowship’ award; and Alwande Mkize had the audience on their feet when awarded subject prizes for English, Life Orientation, Social Science, IsiZulu, Natural Science, Technology and Economic Management Science, achieving an aggregate of 92%.
