Spar claims league victory
The tournament is hosted twice a year and this time, the winner was Spar, followed by Build It, Tyrevulc and Natal Plumbers.
Vryheid Bowling Club hosted a great Business League, which ended on Thursday (November 28).
The club thanked everyone who participated and all the supporters who joined in on the fun.
Teams which took part were Pick n Pay, Spar/ Empire Dairy, Build It, KZN Bodyworks, PSG, TWK, Martin & Jacques, Tyrevulc, Hardline, LMS Brokers, Uberdent, Ford, Farmers Market and Natal Plumbers.

Each team consisted of one club member and two players from the respective business.
“We had to play 13 games, but the weather hampered a few of them. In all, it was a very successful tournament. We would like to thank our great sponsors – Bert-Jan and Herman from Pick n Pay and Trevor from Spar for all the lovely eats supplied, as well as Farmers Market for the snacks. Thank you as well to each team for prizes donated – every team received a prize,” said Karen Slabbert.
She also thanked members who worked in the bar, kitchen and on the green.
“We had our year end function on Sunday and spent a lovely afternoon together, with a delicious lunch. To all members going away for the holidays, travel safely and enjoy it. Those staying at home, see you on the greens. We wish everyone a blessed festive season,” she concluded.
