[NOTICE] Residents to prepare for geyser ‘loadshedding’ today

According to the Newcastle Municipality, the full load shedding schedule will be made available next week.

The Newcastle Municipality has stated that Eskom is looking for 20MVA (Mega Volt Ampere) from 11am to 11pm.

This means all the geysers in areas where the power utility is the electricity supplier, will be off between those hours today.

The municipality has also emphasised that the current load shedding has nothing to do with the matter between Eskom and itself, but is about the challenges that the power utility is facing as an organisation.

Residents have been advised the full load shedding schedule will be made available next week.
