Two people were killed as a result of a collision on the N3 northbound between the Mooi River Toll Plaza and Hidcote on Saturday at about 3.50pm.

When paramedics arrived on scene, they assessed the scene and it became evident that a car and light delivery vehicle were involved.
“Paramedics found that two occupants had sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene. Another two patients had sustained moderate and serious injuries,” said Netcare 911 Media Liaison Officer Shawn Herbst.
Both the injured patients were treated on scene by Advanced Life Support paramedics and were transported by ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.
