Donate today and save lives

Currently, less than one per cent of South Africans are blood donors

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) needs you to bleed for someone else.
Currently, less than one per cent of South Africans are blood donors. A single unit of blood can only last about 42 days after being donated, and it is for this reason donors need to visit their local blood bank or donor clinic on a regular basis. Blood can be donated as regularly as every eight weeks. SANBS will be in Vryheid on December 13 at the Klipkerk from 11am to 6pm, and again on December 14 at Spar from 9am to 1pm, and donors are urged to show their support.
Those who donate blood will receive a limited edition token of appreciation.
