Newcastle constable teaches women how to protect themselves

Constable Beaty Ngcobo believes practical knowledge and education is the key to self-defense.

Constable Beaty Ngcobo from the Newcastle Visible Policing Unit (VISPOL), recently conducted an awareness programme on gender-based violence and self-defense at a Ladies Only event held at Lincoln Heights Secondary School.

Approximately 30 security conscious women were taught about self-defense and gender-based violence.
