‘Santa Claus’ arrives early at Neighbourhood Watch party

What a joy to see the smiles on the children's faces

With Christmas around the corner, it has been a long and arduous year for Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch.
On Saturday however, it pulled out all the stops for the afternoon to spread a little cheer. “Throughout the year, our men and women sacrifice their time with their families to keep our town safe,” explained chairman, AndrĂ© Rheder. “We just felt we should give a little something back to the families they leave behind at home to do that. That’s why we invited ‘Kersvader’ to make an appearance at our Christmas party. What a joy to see the smiles on the children’s faces as he handed out their gifts. Thank you also to our patrollers, for all that you do.”
‘Kersvader’ was portrayed by Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch patroller, Wills Landman (but don’t tell the children).
