Congratulations to the first Newcastle Lager beer winner

The Newcastle Advertiser and the Newcastle Brewing Company (NBC) recently held an exclusive competition, giving away a six-pack of beer each to two lucky readers.
One of the winners was Sudhir Ramdharee, who walked away with a six-pack of Newcastle Lager Beer – congratulations, Sudhir!
Local entrepreneur, Vuyo Valashiya (28) is the mastermind behind the creation of this locally brewed beer. He hoped to see the NBC brand to capturing five per cent of the alcoholic beverage industry market in KZN.
“I wanted Newcastle to have its own beer. Most towns and cities across South Africa have brands which represent and honour their towns and cities in which the beer is brewed.”
Valashiya encouraged the youth to look for gaps in the community and take advantage of opportunities available to them in order to succeed in business.
