Muslim community engages in spiritual walk

The event saw around 50 people of the Islamic faith proceed from the Boundary Road Mosque on a walk.

A Spiritual Walk, also known as a Juloos, was hosted by JIARAT (Jamia Imam Ahmad Raza Trust) on Sunday, in commemoration of the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) birth.

The event, which takes place across the world, saw around 50 people of the Islamic faith in Newcastle proceed from the Boundary Road Mosque on a route ending back at the mosque.

Throughout the walk, participants praised the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

“On this day, the Muslim community come together to praise our prophet and the noble creations of mankind,” said spiritual leader, Ahmed Aziz.
