‘Youngblood’ appointed new Othaka tribe chief

During proceedings at the Magistrate's court, Lwazi Praise-God Mdlalose was appointed the tribe's leader as his family and friends expressed pride, humility and excitement at the announcement.

Commenting, the presiding Magistrates added she ‘was pleased to see youngbloods being leaders in their communities ‘ and advised Mdlalose to take advise from the elders around him, as they often knew best.

Ndlunkulu from the Gwebu area was there as a witness and promised to assist the new chief where she could.

In conclusion, Mdlalose said, “I would like to thank everyone who came to support me and the Magistrate for attending to this matter.

I also like to thank the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs for its presence.”
