Nquthu’s Tshepi goes worldwide for goodwill

AIDO's network continues to expand across east, west and south Africa, focusing on healthcare, sport, awareness and business skills.

Nquthu resident, Tshepi Motloung is taking the world by storm.

Tshepi, the national chairperson of Ateker International Development Organisation (AIDO), has travelled across the globe since the inauguration of the organisation in October 2018. The non- profit organisation is currently working in Kenya, Germany, Ghana, Uganda and in the United Kingdom.

During an interview with the national media, Tshepi explained AIDO’s mission was to build a network with a common goal of promoting and using culture for unity and social change.

“We used the name ‘Ateker’ which means people because the organisation believes culture is an essential part of our society and it explains who we are at every stage of our lives.”

She said AIDO was not a cultural institution, but worked in partnership with cultural institutions and organised entities to ‘promote sustainable development within needy communities at home and in the diaspora’.

“Global representatives often work closely with local authorities, organisations, and churches. AIDO’s network continues to expand across east, west and south Africa, seeking to improve access to healthcare, promoting empowerment through sports, raising drug awareness and fostering the future small businesses.”

By 2020, concluded Tshepi, AIDO aimed to expand its influence even further across the globe.
