Dundee stock theft is on the increase

"Stock theft syndicates are getting caught and we are trying by all means to oppose their bail."

Stock theft is still on the rise in the Endumeni area.

This is according to official sources, after three cattle were stolen from a grazing field at Simunye Farm last Thursday. The stock thieves are still at large and no arrests have been made.

Operations Manager for the Dundee Stock Theft Unit, Captain Amanda Bezuidenhout said, “Stock theft syndicates are getting caught and we are trying by all means to oppose their bail. We would like to plead with the community to be more vigilant and come forward with any information which might help the unit.”

She added residents could forward with information before the crime or afterwards and SAPS would investigate the matter. An informant reward is also being offered to those who offer up reliable information.
