Afternoon downpour hits Endumeni

The possibility of more rain later today has not been ruled out by the SA Weather Service.

From drought to flood… The vacillating weather gods have struck again.

Following months of drought, the heavens again opened this afternoon after a brief and sharp rain and hail storm hit Dundee and Glencoe.

Streets in Glencoe were turned into mini canals as water surged through the town, taking with it the heaps of litter that have been discarded in the storm water drains over the past months.

No immediate damage to property has been reported. Traffic officials are currently out on the streets monitoring the situation.

The rain has since eased but the weatherman has not ruled out the possibility of more rain later.
