Newcastle SAPS visit S.E Vawda Primary School

The learners were encouraged to speak out if they encountered a problem and tell a parent, teachers and the police.

To keep learners abreast with safety hints as well as prevention of crimes against them, SAPS Newcastle Corporate Communication and Social Crime Prevention, interacted with Grade R to Grade 7 learners from S.E Vawda Primary School on October 9.

The learners were educated on the consequences of drug abuse, staying away from school, misbehaviour and accepting gifts or money from strangers.

The learners were encouraged to speak out if they encountered a problem and tell a parent, teachers and the police.

“They must not fear for the police because they are there to serve and protect the community.”
