The AASC is an annual event that is held over a period of one week. High school learners from across Africa (and even Scandinavia) come together to compete in events in a variety of areas: academics, art, sport, music, platform (speech & drama) and dance.

The AASC can best be described as a mini-Olympics for learners in schools using the A.C.E. system and other Christian schools. Learners who excel in their events are nominated to attend the International Student Convention (ISC), which is held in the USA once a year.

The ISC tour is a life-changing experience and an awesome opportunity for learners.

The six ECA learners were Micah Kühn, Ethan Johnstone, Sduduzo Mthembu, Abbigail Abbott, Nqubeko Sithole and Lwandisa Mncwango.

The learners all did the school proud, with Micah Kühn, Ethan Johnstone and Sduduzo Mthembu bringing home three gold and three silver medals between them. Micah and Ethan received ISC nominations, qualifying them to attend the ISC 2019.

Congratulations on putting ECA and Estcourt on the map. The school looks forward to helping the learners prepare to represent South Africa and ECA in the USA.
