Blood buddies come to the rescue

Learners rolled up their sleeves to share a life-saving pint

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) joined Drakensberg Secondary School to host a blood donor clinic for all learners who met the requirements to donate blood.

One by one, the learners walked in, ready to roll up their sleeves for this worthy cause.

45 scholars attended the clinic and the nursing team collected 42 units of blood.

Eight new donors were welcomed. Blood clinic co-ordinator Mr Dawoonarain and the SANBS staff wish to thank everyone who contributed to the clinic last Tuesday.

They would also like to wish all Hindus a blessed and prosperous Diwali, and wish all matriculants the best of luck for the final examinations.
