Amajuba cluster SAPS excel at national practical pistol shooting championship

Both Lt Col Ragunanan and Lt Col Oberholzer were selected for the Nation Police Team and will proceed to the Inter Forces Nation Competition in Addo, Cape Town in 2020.

SAPS members from the Amajuba cluster attended the SAPS National Practical Pistol Shooting Championships from October 14 to 17 at King Williamstown in the Eastern Cape.

170 SAPS members participated in the competition from 10 provinces in the country.

Lt Col Ragunanan placed third in stage 2. He was also placed third in the senior category (50 to 55 years).

Lt Col Neethling won the super senior category (55 to 60) and was placed fourth overall.

Lt Col Oberholzer shot in the KZN A team, who came second in the team event. He won the B category and was placed seventh overall.

Both Lt Col Ragunanan and Lt Col Oberholzer were selected for the Nation Police Team and will proceed to the Inter Forces Nation Competition in Addo, Cape Town in 2020.
