Beauty pageant is ‘one for the ages’

Those who competed said this year's event was one for the ages.

The annual Endumeni Senior Citizens Beauty Pageant was held on Friday at the MOTH Hall, and was hosted by the Department of Social Welfare.

Classic music got the elderly residents dancing as they strutted on the runway, some injecting a dose of humour into their routine. Those who competed in the pageant said it was an event to remember.

Nomsa Xulu was crowned queen, alongside princesses Eileen Petorious and Konakele Mthabela. The king was December Bhengu, who was flanked by Bongani Nkosi and John Mdaweni.
