A pedestrian collapsed a short while ago, at the intersection of Ayliff and Harding Streets in the town’s CBD.
Ambulance services are currently at the scene and at the time of publication, one lane of Harding Street was obstructed. The pedestrian was treated at the roadside and transported to Madadeni Hospital for further care.
It was initially reported the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle but this was confirmed to not be the case.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution and avoid rubbernecking.
