Paramedics described this morning’s accident on the N3 near Lowlands as ‘horrific’.

Two people were killed, one burnt beyond recognition when two vehicles collided on the N3 near Lowlands at about 11.45am this morning (October 20).
An adult male and adult female were declared deceased on scene, while a third person managed to escaped from the burning vehicle.
“Reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision, with one of the cars bursting into flames burning the occupant to death,” said Netcare Limited Media Liaison Officer Shawn Herbst.
The circumstances surrounding the deadly crash are being investigated by authorities.
