Amajuba Cluster’s only female station commander bids farewell

From October 1, Phindi was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and appointed as a Station Commander for Port Edward SAPS.

Captain P.F.M Mabaso, the only female station commander at SAPS Amajuba Cluster bade farewell to her colleagues and friends in the cluster before heading off to Port Edward in the Ugu Cluster.

Affectionately known as Phindi, she was appointed as the station commander of Kingsley Police Station a few years back from Madadeni SAPS and also worked at Utrecht SAPS.

Phindi started her policing career in 1995 after attending Basic Police Training and was deployed to Westville SAPS.

She was the Cluster Champion for Woman’s Network.

As of October 1, Phindi was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and appointed as a Station Commander for Port Edward SAPS.

Amajuba Acting Cluster Commander Brigadier GD Sumayela, congratulated Luitenant Colonel Mabaso on her success.
