Two injured in R69 Louwsburg collision

The 35-year-old passenger of the bakkie sustained severe injuries and the 37-year-old driver sustained moderate injuries.

The R69 Louwsburg\Vryheid road was the scene of near tragedy last Thursday morning, when a bakkie and a car collided near a farm stall entrance.

According to a report from KZN Private Ambulance, four patients were attended to.

The 35 year old passenger of the bakkie sustained severe injuries and the 37- year-old driver sustained moderate injuries, with both stabilised at the collision scene.

EMRS officials handled their further medical care.

The 18-year-old driver of the car and his nine-year-old brother, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were fortunate to both escape without injuries.

“It is alleged one of the vehicles was trying to enter a farm stall,”reported KZN Private Ambulance’s Frikkie Bekker.

“It is believed the other vehicle came from behind and collided with the first vehicle, causing the driver to lose control,veer of the road and collide with trees next to the road.
