“Police officers were hunting down suspects who were involved in house break-in cases that occurred at two lodges in the area,” explained police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane.

The police officers searched homesteads in the Nhlawe and KwaMajola areas, where they recovered three cell-phones, two wristwatches, a jacket, South African Defence Force uniform, pellet gun, .38 Special revolver and ammunition.

“All the items that were recovered were allegedly stolen from two lodges in the area,” commented Lt Col Zwane.

The suspects were not found at the premises that were searched, but their identities have been confirmed by police.

Detectives are confident that the suspects will be arrested soon.  Police repeat their call for communities not to buy stolen goods.
